With a playoff game on the line, the Scituate Sailors rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Holliston and snuck past 27-24. Winning may never get old, but Scituate sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Scituate to victory were Lawson Foley and Jackson Thomas Belsan. Foley picked up 210 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Thomas Belsan threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per attempt. Foley's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Scituate pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points per game. As for Holliston, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Scituate will square off against Grafton at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Grafton is ranked 43rd, while Scituate is ranked 39th). Holliston will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Westwood at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
