Basketball Recap: Westfair Christian Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Westfair Christian had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 26-point drubbing they dealt Illinois School for the Deaf on Tuesday. Everything went Westfair Christian's way against the Illinois School for the Deaf Tigers as Westfair Christian made off with a 60-34 win. Westfair Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

Leading Westfair Christian to victory were Greyson Prevett and Griffin Prevett. Greyson dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Griffin dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Greyson has scored at least a third of Westfair Christian's points. Mason Bordean was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Westfair Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matches.

Westfair Christian pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Illinois School for the Deaf, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.
