BRUNSWICK, Ga. - After three lead changes,
Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.) took the lead for good when
John Boatright ran for a touchdown with 2:00 remaining in the second quarter and held on to beat
Brunswick (Ga.) 44-26 on Saturday.
The Packers were up 24-12 at the half after taking the lead on a Boatright touchdown run in the second quarter.
Colquitt County saw its 12-point halftime lead fall to 10 entering the fourth.
Daniel Mobley and
Javonta Woods teamed up to form a dynamic passing combination. Woods caught three touchdowns and Mobley threw three. Woods has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Mobley has thrown eight.
Brunswick (3-4) will play a AAAAAA Region 1 game against Camden County next week, while Colquitt County (5-2) will take on Valdosta also in a AAAAAA Region 1 game.
