After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sangre de Cristo, the Centennial Rams were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They secured a 39-33 W over Cripple Creek-Victor. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Centennial also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Centennial was led to victory by Reina Aguilera and Anai Medina. Aguilera dropped a double-double on 13 rebounds and 22 blocks, while Medina scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. It was the first time this season that Medina scored 15 or more points. Laila Garcia was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-9 record this season. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Hornets at 4:00 p.m.
