The Cross Trojans entered their tilt with the St. John's Islanders with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Cross walked away with a 56-43 win over St. John's on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Cross, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Cross found their leader in underclassman Caden Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ramsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dominick Lampkin, who scored 16 points.
Cross has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for St. John's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
Cross will be playing in front of their home fans against Military Magnet Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. John's, they will head out on the road to take on Burke at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
