Baseball Recap: Long Beach's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to West Harrison the last time they met, Long Beach decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bearcats walked away with a 7-2 win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Will Brady spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. He has become a key player for Long Beach: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Long Beach let Wayne Ulrich and Aiden Downey run wild. Ulrich scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Downey scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Downey a new career-high in RBI (three).

Long Beach's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for West Harrison, they dropped their record down to 8-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Long Beach will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hurricanes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
