Aledo (Texas) beat Granbury (Texas) 63-0 on the strength of a superb game by dual threat quarterback
Pate Davis, who threw two touchdown passes while running for two more.
The Bearcats were up 56-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Davis touchdown run in the first quarter.
Davis and
Caleb Frysinger ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Pirates.
Aledo went into the matchup giving up only 9.8 points per game. Granbury came in allowing just 17.8 points per game this season.
The defeat comes as a step back for Granbury, which notched a 56-18 victory over Trimble Tech in its previous outing.
Granbury (6-3) will play a 4A Region I District 7 game against Arlington Heights next week, while Aledo (8-1) will take on Trimble Tech also in a 4A Region I District 7 game.
