Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iowa Colony). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 95-58 victory over the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Crusaders are ranked 1034th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Concordia Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ghaven Mittal, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Loukas Naum, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

The win (which was Iowa Colony's third in a row) raised their record to 15-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Concordia Lutheran, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Coincidentally, Iowa Colony and Concordia Lutheran will both be playing Mayde Creek the next time they take the court. Concordia Lutheran will head out to face Mayde Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while Iowa Colony will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
