The Carmichaels Mighty Mikes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bentworth. Carmichaels was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bentworth apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Leading Bentworth to victory were Ben Hays and Lucas Burt. Hays scored 13 points along with five rebounds, while Burt dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hays has scored at least 25% of Bentworth's points.
Carmichaels has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Bentworth, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.
Carmichaels will challenge Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Frazier focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. As for Bentworth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Burgettstown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burgettstown is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
