Conestoga's loss came despite strong showings from Ayla Garrett and Alyssa Batt. Garrett almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds, while Batt scored eight points along with two blocks.
Douglas County West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Holm, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 3 assists. Another player making a difference was Ava Grimm, who scored 16 points.
Conestoga's loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Douglas County West, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Conestoga will head out on the road to square off against Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
