Basketball Recap: Dani Milliner Key Part of a Team Effort in Wolves Win

Mansfield Timberview posted their biggest win since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Seguin Cougars with a sharp 62-41 victory. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Cougars are ranked 793rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mansfield Timberview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dani Milliner led the charge by going 8 for 16 on her way to 23 points and three steals. What's more, Milliner also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Viola Tadja was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Mansfield Timberview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Mansfield Timberview's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Seguin, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Mansfield Timberview will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seguin, they will venture away from home to challenge Cleburne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
