Klein had lost three straight dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 5-2 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They took their game with ease, bagging a 50-17 victory over the Magnolia West Mustangs. Considering the Bearkats have won five matchups by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Magnolia West, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 2-4. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Klein is ranked 73rd).

When it comes to explaining why Magnolia West lost, don't look at Parker Robinson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 71 yards and two scores on only eight carries.

Coincidentally, Klein and Magnolia West will both be playing Klein Oak the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th, while the Bearkats will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
