The North Harrison Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Madison. North Harrison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Madison apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sydney Smith, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Meg Marinc, who scored seven points along with three steals.
North Harrison has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Madison, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Harrison will take on Brownstown Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brownstown Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Harrison in Indiana (Brownstown Central is ranked 94th, while North Harrison is ranked 225th). As for Madison, they will play host again and welcome Trinity Lutheran, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Trinity Lutheran focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
