Football Recap: Ralston Skates Past Platteview with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Skutt Catholic, Ralston was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They really took it to the Platteview Trojans for the full four quarters, racking up a 40-13 victory. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Among those leading the charge was Cade Stix, who threw for 185 yards and one touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 53 yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (149.4).

Ralston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Landenn Jenkins and Boone Blecha.

Although Platteview took the loss, they still got scores from Quinn Smith and Levi Ekue.

Ralston picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Platteview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Ralston will take on Crete at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Platteview, they will square off against Gretna East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Griffins have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
