The Warren East Raiders will challenge the Central Hardin Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Warren East has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Central Hardin will come in with three straight victories.
Warren East is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 13, 2024 on Friday. They lost 19-12 to Bowling Green.
William Alexander led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brenden Bratcher, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Alexander wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Warren East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Hardin). They put the hurt on Bethlehem with a sharp 17-2 win on Saturday. The Bruins not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024.
Caleb Irwin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Irwin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Central Hardin got a massive performance out of Devin Hubbard, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Hubbard also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Chase Price was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Central Hardin's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Warren East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Warren East might still be hurting after the 10-3 defeat they got from Central Hardin in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Warren East have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
