On Friday Spaulding will take on Salem at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Spaulding, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Things haven't been easy for Spaulding, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They took a serious blow against Londonderry last Friday, falling 6-41. Spaulding were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-35.
Meanwhile, Salem faced Winnacunnet in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Salem were able to grind out a solid victory over Winnacunnet, winning 20-13.
Salem's win lifted them to 5-2 while Spaulding's loss dropped them down to 0-7. We'll find out if Salem can add another positive mark to their record or if Spaulding can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Salem's step.
