The Deer Valley Wolverines will hit the road for the first time this season to  face off against  the Berkeley Yellowjackets  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 Last Friday, Deer Valley humbled  Mt. Eden with  a  45-7 victory.
  Anias Hightower was a one-man wrecking crew for Deer Valley as he rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Hightower got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 77 yards.  Gabriel Reis was in the mix  as well, providing Deer Valley with two touchdowns.
 Deer Valley wouldn't let Mt. Eden keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Deer Valley can thank  Jahzeer Johnson and  Lorenzo Craven for forcing all of them. Craven also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making three total tackles, and defending a pass.
 Meanwhile,  everything came up roses for Berkeley on the road  against De Anza on Friday as the  team secured  a  42-13 win. The Yellowjackets pushed the score to  42-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dons cut but never quite recovered from.
 Berkeley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Christopher Devito, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ashton Dotson, who picked up 135 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 The  win  got Deer Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Berkeley,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
