It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Yulee Hornets had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 36-10 margin over Keystone Heights. The result was nothing new for Yulee, who have now won five matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Yulee had a senior duo take command as Teonte Artis-Croxton rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns and Nikao Smith threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
The win was the fourth in a row for Yulee, bringing their record for this year to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.0 points per game. As for Keystone Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Yulee's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Baker County at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Baker County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Keystone Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
