 Meanwhile,  after a string of seven wins, East Central's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell just short of George County by a score of  6-5.
  Abbie Huff was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Baleigh Tullos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. She hasn't dropped below three  RBI for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lillie Evans, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run.
 Brookhaven's loss dropped their record down to 17-13. As for East Central, their defeat  ended  a  nine-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 20-4.
