The Wright City Lumberjax put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Horatio 65-49. Given Wright City's advantage  in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked second in Oklahoma, while Horatio is ranked 91st in Arkansas), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Madison Carter continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 24 points along with 5  steals. The  game was  her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Shalan Haley, who  scored 15 points along with 3  steals.
 Wright City's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Horatio, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Wright City will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Smithville at 6:30  p.m.  on January 2, 2024. As for Horatio, they will head out on the road to face off against Spring Hill at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
