Flathead has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Butte Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Flathead focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
Last Friday, Flathead came up short against Glacier and fell 60-50. Flathead has not had much luck with Glacier recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Lyric Ersland put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 21 points along with three blocks and two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Thornsberry, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Butte had to suffer through a rough 61-32 loss at the hands of Big Sky. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Butte has scored all season.
Flathead's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Butte, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Flathead might still be hurting after the 89-65 loss they got from Butte in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can Flathead avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
