Grayson Rowe was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Hadleigh Swagger was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Meanwhile, Maiden entered their tilt with Lincolnton with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Maiden blew past Lincolnton, posting a 62-20 win at home. Maiden has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.
Maiden got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amelia Beal out in front who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khiara Culliver, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Newton-Conover's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Maiden, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Tuesday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Newton-Conover have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 31.1% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Maiden struggles in that department as they've only nailed 36.2% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
