Milton won the last time they faced DeForest and things went their way on Friday too. The Red Hawks came out on top against the Norskies by a score of 7-3. The victory was nothing new for the Red Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.

Karson Lueck looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gavin Cole was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Carter Thompson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Milton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Milton pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for DeForest, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Milton will venture away from home to face off against Sun Prairie West at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Red Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for DeForest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
