When it comes to explaining why Lawrenceville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryant Jenkins. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Landon Sanders, who scored 11 points.
Lawrenceville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Newton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
