There's no place like home for the South Garner Titans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-37 victory over Cleveland. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-15.
Najai Hines was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Muschette, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Cleveland's loss came despite strong showings from Jabari Green and Rodney Poston. Green scored 15 points along with six rebounds, while Poston scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Chris Tsolenyanu was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
South Garner has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Cleveland, they bumped their record down to 7-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
South Garner will face off against Fuquay - Varina at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fuquay - Varina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 435th, while South Garner is ranked 82nd). As for Cleveland, they will be playing at home against Clayton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clayton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 465 points over their last seven games.
