Nelson County kept a clean sheet against Galileo on Friday. They blew past the Falcons 9-0. Nelson County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Galileo from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Clara Moldenhauer led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Nelson County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 55 goals over those eight games. As for Galileo, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9-2.

Coincidentally, Nelson County and Galileo will both be playing Altavista the next time they take the pitch. The Governors will host the Colonels at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
