The Alto Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Enterprise. Alto was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mt. Enterprise apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Leading Mt. Enterprise to victory were Kaegan Ash and Jack Maples. Ash scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Maples scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Maples hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Durrett, who scored seven points.
Alto has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season. As for Mt. Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alto will take on Cushing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Cushing's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Alto has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Mt. Enterprise, they will challenge Gary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gary has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
