The Delcastle Technical Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Newark Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Delcastle Technical and nine for Newark.
Delcastle Technical lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Middletown 65-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Delcastle Technical has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-28, which was the final score in Newark's tilt against Glasgow on Thursday. Newark was down 42-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Delcastle Technical dropped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Newark, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Delcastle Technical was able to grind out a solid victory over Newark when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 56-46. Does Delcastle Technical have another victory up their sleeve, or will Newark turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
