Basketball Recap: Keeley Harris Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Warren East

Owensboro won the last time they faced Warren East and things went their way on Monday too. The Owensboro Red Devils snuck past the Warren East Raiders with a 54-48 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Owensboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keeley Harris, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and nine steals. What's more, Harris also racked up five assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Shalyn Sprinkles was another key player, going 7 of 17 en route to 20 points.

Owensboro is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Warren East, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.

Owensboro will square off against Daviess County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Daviess County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Owensboro surely won't give up without a fight. As for Warren East, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-45 loss against Grayson County on the 14th.
