The Oakmont Vikings''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Nevada Union at home  and fell  57-12.
 Oakmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was   Anthony Alvarez, who gained 117 total yards and a touchdown. Alvarez was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run  that went for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was  Jayden Beattie, who picked up 91 receiving yards and  a touchdown.
 Oakmont's defeat  dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Nevada Union, their victory  bumped their record up to 4-5.
 Oakmont will head out on the road to face off against Placer at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Placer will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Nevada Union, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Ponderosa at 5:30  p.m. Ponderosa is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
