On Friday, The Farmington Scorpions faced the Volcano Vista Hawks in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Farmington came out on top against Volcano Vista by a score of 31-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Farmington.
Griego Trel went supernova for Farmington, throwing for 410 yards and five touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Beck Michael, who picked up 182 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Volcano Vista still got an impressive performance from Alijah (A-Train) Gonzales, who rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Those 235 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Gonzales.
Farmington's win bumped their record up to 6-5. As for Volcano Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Farmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Volcano Vista also has no future games currently scheduled.
