If the Skyview Wolverines were riding high off their 68-26 takedown of the Adams City Eagles last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Skyview received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 77-59 to Northfield. Skyview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northfield apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Aliyah Herron, who dropped a triple-double on 15 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists for Northfield. That's the first time this season that Herron scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Nashara Ellerbee, who scored 17 points along with two blocks.
Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Northfield, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyview will take on Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
