The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Belleview Christian in their matchups with Dawson School: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Belleview Christian saw an underclassman step up: Harjas Thiara scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Thiara is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivy Esch, who scored two points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Belleview Christian's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.3 points per game. As for Dawson School, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
