Saddleback Valley Christian added to the longest winning streak in San Joaquin this week by beating California Military Institute, 68-7. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Saddleback Valley Christian took down the ROUGH RIDERS 68-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jake Markum threw for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win.
Jonathan Saavedra provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Santa Clarita Christian lost to Mission Prep. He completed 25 passes for 225 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 47 yards. Saavedra's key target this week was Cameron Lewis, who caught 11 passes for 138 yards.
Riley Babick threw for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Lewis was the best wideout in the league this week as the Cardinals lost to the Royals. Lewis tallied 11 receptions for 138 yards. Jon Luke Wilson helped Santa Clarita Christian's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 64 yards.
Capistrano Valley Christian's Babick and Ben Sukut have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Babick has thrown for 2,152 yards this season, while Sukut has 62 catches for 773 yards. Justin Reber's team's James Bethea leads the league in rushing yards with 1,260.
Sam Sukut has rushed for 973 yards on 108 carries so far this year.
So far this year, Saavedra has thrown for 1,910 yards with 15 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
