Capital Prep has not had much luck with Bristol Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Capital Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Amare Cockfield and Syre Gillespie. Cockfield scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Gillespie scored 15 points. Gillespie also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Damir Williams, who scored six points.
Capital Prep bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Bristol Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Capital Prep will head out on the road to face off against Bulkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Bulkeley is ranked 123rd, while Capital Prep is ranked 115th). As for Bristol Central, they will be playing at home against Middletown at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
