Capital Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Amare Cockfield and Syre Gillespie. Cockfield scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Gillespie scored 15 points. Gillespie also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Damir Williams, who scored six points.
Capital Prep bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Bristol Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
