The TMI-Episcopal Panthers pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to O'Connor. While losing is never fun, TMI-Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while O'Connor is ranked 203rd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead O'Connor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julian Barron, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristyn White, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds.
TMI-Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for O'Connor, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
TMI-Episcopal is on the road again on Saturday and play against ThunderRidge at 9:30 a.m. on December 2nd. As for O'Connor, they will take on Clemens at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Clemens' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
