The Bethany Christian Bruins were the 57-46 winner over the Triton Trojans when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Bethany Christian fell 51-41 to Triton on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Bethany Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Triton is ranked 180th).
Bethany Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacoby Reinhardt, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Tyson Chupp was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Bethany Christian's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Triton, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Bethany Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Lakeland Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lakeland Christian Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Triton, they will head out on the road to face off against Winamac at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Winamac focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday.
