Cotulla has gone a perfect 6-0 against Crystal City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Cotulla will look to defend their home field against Crystal City at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cotulla has three straight victories, Crystal City has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Cotulla was able to grind out a solid win over Natalia, taking the game 7-4.

Christlyn Munoz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sienna Arevalo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sareen Ramirez, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Crystal City scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 18-9 to Hondo.
Vianey Garcia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season. Natalie Perez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Even though they lost, Crystal City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Cotulla's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Crystal City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Everything went Cotulla's way against Crystal City in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Cotulla made off with an 11-1 win. Does Cotulla have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crystal City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
