South Stokes is 8-2 against North Stokes since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Sauras will venture away from home to take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. South Stokes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
If South Stokes beats North Stokes with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Sauras beat Starmount on Monday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sauras.

Samuel Kidd was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has become a key player for South Stokes: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 5-9 otherwise. Kidd was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Reid Tilley and Nick Turner did most of the damage at the plate: Tilley scored three runs while going 1-for-3, while Turner scored three runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Tilley is becoming a predictor of South Stokes' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-9 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, North Stokes got themselves on the board against East Wilkes on Tuesday, but East Wilkes never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Cardinals. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Like South Stokes, North Stokes also got a great game from a two-way player: Elijah Whicker. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Whicker has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Michael Frye was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Jackson Lester was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
North Stokes kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Wilkes only managed three hits.
North Stokes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for South Stokes, their record is now 8-9.
Everything went South Stokes' way against North Stokes in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as South Stokes made off with an 8-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sauras since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
