  MAGGIE KRAUSE made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. KRAUSE has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. KRAUSE was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  MIANAH THOMPSON was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI and a  double. Another player making a difference was  KAELA BECKLEY, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Linton-Stockton fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against Jasper  on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of  12-11. Even if Linton-Stockton couldn't come away with the  win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
 Northview's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Linton-Stockton, their loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-4.
 Northview skirted past Linton-Stockton  5-3 when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northview since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
