The Fairview Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Chagrin Falls Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Even though Independence scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Fairview still came out on top. Fairview strolled past the Blue Devils with points to spare, taking the game 74-56. Given Fairview's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Chagrin Falls beat the Phoenix 51-46 on Friday. The win was just what Chagrin Falls needed coming off of a 84-58 loss in their prior game.
Ryan Curtiss was a one-man wrecking crew for Chagrin Falls as he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Curtiss scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brad Russell, who scored ten points.
Fairview is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Chagrin Falls' record is now 6-11.
