The Bell Creek Academy Panthers extended their postseason success on Thursday against the Lakeland Christian Vikings. They claimed a resounding 67-40 win over the Vikings on the road. The win was nothing new for Bell Creek Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Bell Creek Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Sanders out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Sanders is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermal Jones, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Lakeland Christian saw an underclassman step up: Ralph Scott scored 11 points.
Bell Creek Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Lakeland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
Bell Creek Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. Santa Fe Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 contests -- so hopefully Bell Creek Academy likes a good challenge. Lakeland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
