They came out on top against The Daniel Academy by a score of 26-15 on Tuesday. Blue Ridge Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Blue Ridge Christian found their leader in underclassman Risa Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brielle Light, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Blue Ridge Christian's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9. As for The Daniel Academy, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge Christian has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on February 6th. The Daniel Academy will take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
