Port Gibson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ger'Kiya Flowers led the charge by scoring 14 points. The match was Flowers' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amyah Hedrick, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Port Gibson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Franklin County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-7 record last season and are now at 3-12.
Port Gibson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jefferson County at 5:00 a.m. As for Franklin County, they will head out on the road to face off against Wesson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
