On Wednesday, the Nelson Island Islanders faced the Scammon Bay Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Nelson Island received a tough blow as they fell 99-80 to Scammon Bay. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Nelson Island's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2. As for Scammon Bay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
