The Roosevelt Roughriders lost against the Lakeside Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Roosevelt took a hard 54-36 fall against the Lions. While losing is never fun, Roosevelt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Lions are ranked ninth).
Despite the loss, Roosevelt saw an underclassman step up: Emma Curtis scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Audrey Richardson, who scored five points.
Roosevelt's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10. As for Lakeside, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lakeside also has no future games currently scheduled.
