The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calumet Christian in their matchups with Victory Christian Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.
Calumet Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brad Nymeyer, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Nymeyer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games he's played. William Hayes was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Calumet Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Victory Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Calumet Christian will look to defend their home court on Monday against Portage Christian at 7:15 p.m. Calumet Christian is facing Portage Christian at the right time seeing as Portage Christian is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. Victory Christian Academy is on the road again on Monday and plays Bowman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
