Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victory Christian). They enjoyed a cozy 78-59 victory over the Victory Christian Academy Patriots on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Simiya Smith, who posted 45 points. Smith's evening made it 23 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jania Floyd, who earned 13 points.

Victory Christian's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Victory Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
