After flying high against Brookewood last Tuesday, the Trinity at Meadow View Tempest came back down to earth. Trinity at Meadow View might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Christ Chapel Academy an easy 46-24 victory. Trinity at Meadow View has not had much luck with Christ Chapel Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Christ Chapel Academy's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zaria Gaskins, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Gaskins' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Nyanbuot Woul Makec was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Trinity at Meadow View's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Christ Chapel Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity at Meadow View will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Christian at 5:45 p.m. on January 9, 2024. After both having extra time off, Christ Chapel Academy and Dominion Christian will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
