This season hasn't been kind to the Jamestown Muskies, who are still winless after their fifth match. The match between Jamestown and Cochranton wasn't particularly close, with Jamestown falling 55-39. Jamestown was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cochranton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Leading Cochranton to victory were Walker Carroll and Dawson Carroll. Carroll scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Carroll went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 3 assists. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Albert, who scored six points.
Jamestown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cochranton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Jamestown will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against West Middlesex at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (West Middlesex is ranked 659th, while Jamestown is ranked 635th). Cochranton will be home for the holidays to greet Saegertown at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
